Not a crisis service.

About Us

Community-focused wellbeing support rooted in Anglesey — not a generic expansion, but a response to real local need.

Stable Minds Your Safe Space Wales CIC is a community-focused mental health and wellbeing organisation created to support people across Anglesey who may otherwise struggle to access compassionate, flexible and trauma-informed support.

We believe that emotional wellbeing support should feel human, approachable and connected to the communities it serves — not distant, clinical or difficult to reach.

Our work is intentionally community-rooted. We are building support that recognises the realities of rural and coastal living, including transport barriers, isolation, hidden deprivation and limited local provision.

Our Story

This organisation grew from the work of Milly Peel, founder of award-winning Stable Minds CIC in Cheshire, and a deep recognition that rural communities across Wales face persistent barriers to accessing timely emotional wellbeing support.

With personal Welsh family connections and professional experience supporting children, young people, adults and families, the Wales CIC was established to bring a safe, flexible and trauma-informed approach closer to Anglesey communities.

Walking path in natural surroundings on Anglesey

Professional Credibility

Led by a qualified psychotherapist, our approach draws on years of community mental health delivery, safeguarding awareness and trauma-informed practice. We focus on early emotional wellbeing support and preventative community wellbeing — reaching people before crisis point where possible.

Who We Aim to Support

Children, young people, adults, families, neurodivergent individuals and rural communities across Anglesey — working alongside schools, community groups, local organisations and residents as the organisation develops.

Language: We are currently an English-speaking support service. Our website is bilingual-friendly; Welsh-language therapy is not offered at this stage.

Our Approach

Support that is shaped around the person, not the other way around.

Accessible

We work hard to reduce barriers to support — whether that is cost, transport, location or how services feel to access. Support should be reachable for everyone.

Human

We believe the relationship matters. Our support is warm, genuine and grounded — not clinical or transactional. People deserve to feel truly heard.

Flexible

There is no one-size-fits-all. Support is adapted around each individual's needs, preferences and pace — because no two people experience the world in the same way.

Community-led

We are building support with communities, not for them. Local relationships, partnerships and community voice help shape what we offer across Anglesey.
